Establishing Legal Entity Under Public Law in Bakuriani Resort

Borjomi is the first municipality, which was authorized by the government to establish a legal entity under public law for the effective management of Bakuriani resort.

The information is published by the Ministry of Infrastructure.

Exercising this right, Bakuriani and the village of Mitarbi were defined as a combination of settlements in which Borjomi Municipality will establish a new governing body.

The Legal Entity Under the Public Law will be responsible for the provision of municipal services, such as developing engineering infrastructure, street cleaning, and waste management, road maintenance. In addition, LEPL is given the rights to organize traffic and municipal transport services on roads of local importance, administrate trading, hold exhibitions, fairs, solve issues related to stray animals, etc.

According to the ministry of infrastructure, the price of the whole investment of developing the resort of Bakuriani is 58 million GEL and includes 8 specific projects.
