Employees in Quarantine and Self-isolation to Receive Compensations for Missed Workdays

Employees in quarantine and self-isolation will receive compensations for missed workdays, Ekaterine Adamia, head of the Health Policy Management of the Health Ministry noted.

For carrying out effective measures against coronavirus spread and preventing the epidemic, changes will be made to the Health Minister’s resolution N281/N and the Ministry will issue references equal to hospital bulletins to isolated persons. Based on these documents, employees will receive full compensations for the workdays missed during quarantine and self-isolation.

“We are carrying out effective measures to prevent coronavirus spread in the country. These measures imply an isolation of persons in contact, including a self-isolation and accommodation into the quarantine space. Many of them are employees and in the quarantine period, they may face certain problems with labor rights.

Under changes to our standard acts, this category will receive special documents, under which they will receive full compensations for missed workdays”, Ekaterine Adamia noted.

To receive the mentioned document, the interested bodies are able to apply to the Health Ministry’s email - info@moh.gov.ge
