Crisis Centers for Georgian Emigrants to be Created in Four Countries
Several cases of infected ones with coronavirus were detected among Georgian migrants. As Nika Chkheidze, the Head of the US-based organization “Tvistomi” noted, the majority are in self-isolation and they have their consultations with a newly based crisis center in America.
Crisis Centres are project of the International Coalition of Georgian Diaspora and it already functions in Italy, Spain, and France. The organization also works on founding crisis center in Germany.
Crisis center is an informational bank, in which the information is gathered. It operates upon the navigational system, which enables migrants to give a call due to their needs.
Crisis center involves medical consultations, financial assistance, psychological help, informational services. Volunteer donors are actively participating in the center, who are offering Georgian migrants with the medicine, and food supply.
"We already created the bank account, on which everyone can donate the money. These means will be apportioned to the serious cases. Georgian women can't work, they are home and have no food. Similar circumstances are aroused in Italy and Spain. They lost their jobs. This bank account will be of use to these cases.", declared Nikoloz Chkheidze.
