COVID-19 Measures: More Checkpoints Set Up in Telavi and Akhaltsikhe

According to the interagency Coordinating Council, Telavi and Akhaltsikhe are added to the cities, in which checkpoints are arranged.

On this matter, Irakli Chikovani declared on the briefing.

As he defined, thermo-screening of citizens will be started on site.

"Factually, quarantine is already launched in 7 municipalities throughout Georgia. We set up special checkpoints, which are arranged by the forces of Ministries of Defense and Internal Affairs. Also, I note, that we conduct strict control on the restrictions which are enforced within the frameworks of state of emergency.

We have made the decision on today's Coordinating Council, that a similar regime will be maintained in additional 2 municipalities, Telavi and Akhaltsikhe.", stated Chikovani.
