Columbia’s Cartagena to Host Georgian Electronic Music Festival GEM Fest on May 5-11

Columbian city of Cartagena will host GEM Fest, the Georgian electronic music festival, on May 5-11.

The first part of Line UP has been already announced and invitations will be sold starting the next week, GEM FEST founder and director Giorgi Sigua said. The price of the festival tickets will be $1,000. As noted by Giorgi Sigua, in summer 2021, GEM FEST will be also held in Mexico and Costa-Rica together with South American partners. Why Columbia? – Investments in GEM Fest were made by a South American event management company.

There is a fantastic climate in Columbia with smoother COVID restrictions compared to Europe. Therefore, we have selected Columbia. We plan to hold this event in Mexico and Costa-Rica too. This will not be a big festival. We will host a limited number of people”, Giorgi Sigua said and invited Georgian citizens to Columbia. „Write something smart in comments (suggest something, tell a story, recall a story and so on) and we will select winners from the comments with the most reactions and we will take you to Cartagena, Columbia on May 4-5. We will select winners at 13 o’clock by Tbilisi time on May 1”, GEM Fest’s Facebook page reads. As reported, visa-free regime runs between Georgia and Columbia.
