Batumi Joins The UNESCO Creative Cities Network

Batumi has joined UNESCO's network of creative cities.

Batumi is the first among Georgian cities, to be a member of the network involving 245 cities across the world.

The UNESCO Creative Cities Network is a project of UNESCO launched in 2004 to promote cooperation among cities that recognized creativity as a major factor in their urban development.

The agreement between the parties took place in Paris. The Georgian side thinks that this achievement will take the country's cultural and tourism potential to a new level on the world map.
