Anushka Chkheidze's Album Nominated for IMPALA Best European Album Award
Anushka Chkheidze's 2020 album Halfie, released on CES Records, is a nominee for the IMPALA Music Awards.
The Association of Independent Music Companies of Europe has included the Georgian musician's album among the 25 favorite works of last year. The existing list is musically diverse and includes all types of music from Finnish pop to French electronic music. Last year, the award went to the famous German musician, Apparat's album - and this year's winner will be revealed in February- Marketer reports.
IMPALA is an association of independent music companies across Europe, founded in 2000 and bringing together up to 5,000 small labels and artists in the music business. For the eleventh year, the association has been holding the "Album of the Year" award, where it selects the best work from independent European labels. In recent years, the winners of this competition have been musicians such as Apparat, Agnes Obel, José Gonzalez, Caribou, Guadalupe Plata, The xx, Adele, and Efterklang.
