Tons of Harvest on 4 m2 Spaces by Smart Aeroponics of GAS Technologies Company

GSA Technologies company plans to widely spread Smart Aeroponics technology in Georgia in order to develop cutting-edge greenhouse facility for production of 100% ecologically clean products, the company director Onisse Zivzivadze told Business Partner.

“Thanks to modern agriculture production technologies, not hoes and spades, but technological innovations sharpen competition. In 2020, the Smart Aeroponics technology has won the 100,000-GEL co-funding grant program of Georgian Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA).

Thanks to this grant, we have carried out a one-year testing project that will be finished in 3 months.

However, we have already received real results. We have planted various cultures and all of them have justified. For example, hydroponics technology uses water in agriculture production and it holds a narrow niche. As for aeroponics, in this technology, the roots grow in the air without soil. It may be installed everywhere. Its products are clean and ecological by 100%. The plants are protected from bacteria and environmental hazards by 100%. All sources of infection are blocked”, Onisse Zivzivadze noted. Smart Aeroponics enables to receive tons of harvest in a small space. For example, this technology enables to harvest 2-3 tons of potato in 4 m2 space, he said. Seasons do not matter. Products grow in any season. In general, this technology fits for one-year plants, but all perennial plants that we have planted have also justified. Ukrainian technologists help us in this process. We have made acquaintance with them as part of the Business Incubator project of the Government of Abkhazia in exile.

The organization attracts similar people and connects them with Georgian partners for implementing joint projects”, the GSA Technologies director noted. In order to further develop aeroponics technology, the company plans to apply to the GITA’s 650,000-GEL grant program and the 500 Startups competitions.
