Tegeta Green Planet Commits to Cleaning Up Discarded Tires on Tbilisi Bypass
Tegeta Green Planet, a subsidiary of Tegeta Holding, has announced that it will take responsibility for removing discarded tires from the Tbilisi bypass and delivering them to a processing plant. The decision comes after a photograph of the discarded tires on the bypass, shared by photographer Billy Bilikhodze, went viral on social media.
In a statement released by Tegeta Holding, the company emphasized its commitment to environmental protection and social responsibility. The statement also announced that Tegeta Green Planet, which specializes in waste collection, transportation, processing, and recycling, will undertake the task of cleaning up the area.
The discarded tires will be processed in accordance with technical regulations on waste management, and unusable waste will be handed over to facilities with relevant activity permits. The cleanup process is expected to take approximately ten days, given the significant amount of tires dumped on the ground.
Tegeta Green Planet, authorized by the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture, is one of the first organizations in Georgia to specialize in separate waste collection and disposal, as well as bringing products to the end of their life cycle. The organization's commitment to environmental protection and sustainable waste management makes it a valuable partner for businesses and communities in Georgia.
Tegeta Green Planet's decision to clean up the Tbilisi bypass is a significant step towards creating a cleaner and healthier environment in Georgia. It highlights the importance of responsible waste management and the role that businesses can play in protecting the environment and promoting sustainable practices.
