Swiss Agro School to Open in Dmanisi
A Swiss-standard Agro School will open in Dmanisi. The objective of the project is to train young farmers in cattle-breeding, milk and cheese production, and agribusiness development.
The project will be implemented with the support of the Bank of Georgia. The bank has attracted investments of GEL 1.275 million. As a result, the company has built the cattle farm and purchased cheese production equipment. Agro School in Dmanisi will open in spring 2021. The education process will be carried out based on the PlantHop software of Swiss Agro School.
10-15 students will engage in the academic process every year. Financial support will be provided by foreign companies. The company plans to train 35 students every year. Furthermore, the company plans to launch consulting services for companies and short-term courses for farmers. “Bank of Georgia continues active efforts for agribusiness development. This project will play an essential role in developing agribusiness and growing the employment rate. The School has already defined very interesting directions in terms of consulting services and short-term courses.
