The dried fruit production company "Skiji" is building a new workshop. The total investment of the project is $ 70,000 and it is supported by USAID, in particular, the organization bought them European machines.
According to the founder of Skiji, the workshop, which will be able to produce 4 tons of products per year, will be put into operation at the end of May.
It should be noted that "Skiji" will soon start producing new products. These will be dried candies for children, snacks specially designed for people with diabetes, and so-called fitness bars. At the moment, the company is undergoing the certification process with the help of USAID, and in the near future, "Skiji" will be ready to enter the network market and then export.
"We have built a small workshop in Guruli Oda that meets all standards. Until now, production was done at home - in our own kitchen. We bought European machines with the help of USAID. We started drying on the spot this year, but construction is going on in parallel. The mentioned workshop will be old, authentic style. It will have both an enterprise and a tourist load," said the founder of Skiji at BM.ge.
Production of "Skiji" was established in Guria in 2015. At the moment, the company produces mandarins, oranges, lemons, kiwis, feijoas, and various dried fruits online for sale.
