Robots Started Working at the New Farm of Butrana
Modern technologies were introduced to the livestock farm by the company "Butrana." On the farm, the operation of feeding the animals is handled by robotic machinery for roughly a week.
As Jemal Khatiashvili, the founder of "Butrana" told "Business Partner", the technology and systems were imported from the Netherlands.
According to his own statement, "Butrana" farm has the ambition to be the most high-tech and highly profitable farm in Georgia.
As Khatiashvili points out, the "Butrana" Milk farm is one of the first in Georgia, which introduced the "Geo Gap" standard in the production process, ensuring the production of local and harmless, high-quality products and traceable milk. Since 2019, the company has been certified by the National Food Agency of Georgia with a certificate of permanent recognition.
According to Khatiashvili, the ISO 22000 standard is being introduced in the enterprise, which establishes requirements in the field of food safety protection.
"Butrana" opened a farm equipped with modern technologies in the village of Tibaani of Sighnaghi municipality in April of this year. The investment cost is 1 million GEL.
Currently, the company produces 20 names of cheese, in the future, it is planned to increase the range to 30. Among them, cheese aged in Saperavi, cheese planted in honey, cheese made in green and red pesto, nutty, berry Ajikian, etc. are already being produced. In addition to cheese, the company produces wine.
