RMG Publishes Statement on Events Developing in Mushevani Village

RMG publishes a statement on the events in the village of Mushevan.

"RMG has had the Mushevani license since 2011. After passing the relevant permit procedures, we plan to launch this project, which from our point of view will bring significant development to the village of Mushevani and Bolnisi municipality as a whole.

The company has already taken a number of practical steps, it signed a memorandum of rural development with the local population, and implemented a number of significant projects, the results of which are already felt by the majority of the people of Mushevan.

In particular, the village water supply works, and various social and infrastructural projects are underway.

We reckon, that this is the reason why people of Mushevani came out today defending this perspective; they responded to the disinformation aimed at suspending the project. 

The Mushevan project is located far from the village, so any form of impact on the village is excluded from the ecological point of view, which is confirmed by preliminary studies and is known to the majority of the population.

Our hope and wish are that along with the company's development the environment of nearby villages and the region will be changed for the better as well. The company sets itself apart from any controversy and we call on the parties to dialogue.", RMG writes in the statement.
