Responsible Business - "Tegeta Holding" Presented a CSR Strategy

"Tegeta Holding" has become the first large Georgian company to develop a corporate sustainability strategy that is adapted to European standards. The strategy outlines the holding's vision, general policy, long-term goals, and action plans for all major areas of sustainable development.

After conducting research, the priority areas of the strategy were defined as the welfare of employees, environmental responsibility, and safety. The company has developed strategic plans for each of these directions, which it intends to implement by 2030. The strategy was presented at the "Tbilisi Digital Space".

Vakhtang Kacharava, CEO of Tegeta Holding, stated that corporate social responsibility is an essential part of the holding's activities, and that caring for the well-being of society is the holding's identity. For Tegeta, as a responsible business, the corporate social responsibility strategy is the most important guideline. Kacharava expressed his pride in being the first large Georgian company to develop a CSR strategy based on international standards, and believes that with united efforts, they can create a business model focused on sustainable development that will be beneficial for the company and all its stakeholders.

The company prepared a long-term strategy based on research that included interviews with target groups, including employees, whose direct involvement will be necessary for the implementation of the strategy. The social, environmental, and economic impacts of Tegeta Holding's activities were assessed, and stakeholders were identified. The company's strengths, weaknesses, and potential areas for improvement in its CSR activities were also identified. Finally, the company defined its priority directions, long-term goals, objectives, and strategy measurement tools.
