Planting of Natchez Berry Starts in Georgia
Georgian Berry Growers' Association plans to cultivate Natchez Berries in Georgia.
The deputy of the association, Izolda Kitesashvili notes, that the berry crop is in demand all over the world. In the first stage, the product will be planted in an area of up to half a hectare.
After the test period, the product will be grown in larger areas.
It was decided to cultivate a new variety of berries after the opportunity to export the product.
The negotiations are underway with Britain. The export price of 1 kg of "Natchez" blackberry is 15 dollars.
