Plans of Hotel Banguriani in Mestia Paused Due to Pandemic

The pandemic paused the expansion plans of the hotel Banguriani located in Mestia. 

As the financial director of the hotel, Levan Jojua mentioned, they were planning to increase hotel rooms to 120 in the 2020-2021 years. Currently, the hotel has 36 rooms. 

"We had an architectural project elaborated, with its own cost estimate and all the details. We even purchased a part of the territory.", declared Levan Jojua.

According to him, 2,5 million GEL should have been spent on the project.

The project may continue from 2023 onwards.

The hotel was damaged by about one million GEL during the pandemic. According to Levan Jojua, the situation is difficult, therefore the solution is to resume work and attract foreign tourists.
