PICTOR - Digital Gallery of Contemporary Georgian Artists

PICTOR is a digital gallery of sketches by contemporary Georgian artists. The idea belongs to Nino Vasadze and Nino Lortkipanidze, the goal is to popularize Georgian artists and offer an affordable price for consumers.

"We had a similar idea before the pandemic, but we tried to adapt to the current situation, so we made a digital gallery and not a classic one. PICTOR will be available to everyone. The works were less accessible to young people, due to the price or because they did not go to galleries. We have sketches, illustrations, worksheets, which are currently posted on Facebook, but we are going to create a website and mobile application for which we plan to participate in any grant competition.

The interest is great, more than we expected. In the first phase, we have placed 44 works by 22 artists, it is the third day and half of them have already been sold. After the pandemic we want to make a small gallery where not only paintings but also various art samples will be exhibited. I would like to thank the artists, because they receive a minimal cost and participate in this social project, "said Nino Lortkipanidze.
