Participants of the Joint Project by the Energy Training Center and Visegrad were awarded with Certificates

With the support of the International Visegrad Foundation (IVF), certificates were awarded to the participants of the two-month trainings held within the framework of the project "Sharing the Experience of the Visegrad Countries on the Regulation of Utility Services" organized by the Energy Training Center operating under the Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission (GNERC).

As part of this project, representatives from partner organizations in Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Poland conducted training sessions on energy sector transformation, sandbox regulation, decarbonization, regulation of energy storage, final consumer tariff determination, the role of regulatory authorities and cost-reflective pricing, liberalization of the natural gas market, and tariff regulation policies for state-owned water supply companies.

Since February of the last year, with the support of the International Visegrad Fund (IVF),  the project "Sharing the Experience of the Visegrad Countries on the Regulation of Utility Services  has been in progress being implemented by the Energy Training Center. The Project partners are:  Research Center of the Slovak Foreign Policy Association (RC SFPA, Slovakia), Charles University Environmental Center (Czech Republic), and the "Partners for Climate" Foundation (P4C, Poland). The project aims to share the experiences of Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia with Georgia on utility service regulation. It focuses on studying the regulatory framework, analyzing it, and, based on the findings and best practices of the Visegrad countries, supporting the capacity development of local participants in the project.
