Opportunities of Georgian Producers in 100 Million Central Asian Market
"I would appeal to our producers to look at Central Asia as a market of 100 million and learn more about its demand," said Giorgi Jakhutashvili, Honorary Consul of Kazakhstan in Georgia, on the attractiveness of Central Asian countries on Business Partner.
Giorgi Jakhutashvili says that the development of Central Asian countries is a good opportunity for Georgian producers, but for this, it is necessary to supply products in the appropriate form and quantity.
"Mineral waters, wine, and similar products, which are already packaged and marketed products, are more or less well found in Central Asia. If Kazakhstan is a country of 18 million, it is followed by Uzbekistan, which has 40 million. In total, the countries of Central Asia are a market of 100 million, where the demands are not similar to those of Western countries and are almost equal to the demands that are in Russia and Ukraine. This is a recommendation, ”said Giorgi Jakhutashvili.
The Honorary Consul of Kazakhstan in Georgia also talks about the challenges that are typical for Georgian exports: there is a big problem in the range of export products, the product is not packaged to be easily distributed, or if it is already well packaged, there are not enough.
According to him, a manufacturer who thinks of exporting products to Kazakhstan, for example, should study this country and its needs.
