Octopus Fitnes-Club: Gyms are Facing Financial Collapse

Giorgi Asatiani, the director of "Octopus - Fitness Club" evaluates the government's decision to restrict the work of gyms and swimming pools in the country. As for him, the company has cut a way to still receive a minimum income and be able to retain employees.

"It is clear that the country has a difficult epidemic situation, but the economy and business are on the other side. We were closed for 6 months, now 2 more months will be added. This creates a financial collapse. The only solution is to get some kind of help from the state, be it tax or loan subsidy benefits.

We, who are the most affected, have not been contacted or met with government officials. The loss is huge, whether the company will continue to operate is questionable. Retaining employees will be as difficult as re-opening. Other fitness clubs are in a similar situation.

"No industry like us has suffered any damage, because all fields are able to continue working in an alternative way," said Giorgi Asatiani.
