Multifunctional Sport Complex is Now Open in Poti

Multifunctional sport complex was opened in Poti.

According to the first deputy mayor of Poti, Davit Kvitsiani, the project, the total cost of which is 14.5 million GEL, was implemented by the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia. He further added, that the facility is equipped with furniture, and all necessary inventory with the financing of the local budget, in the amount of 350 thousand GEL.

"We started construction works in 2018 and completed the project this year. The sports complex has large and small swimming pools, a fitness hall, a multifunctional gym, hotel rooms, a cafeteria, coaches' and doctors' offices.", declared the vice-mayor.

The complex has already hosted an international chess festival, in which about 400 chess players from 10 countries participated.

"It is important for the city to have a sports complex, it will promote holding international and local competitions, and help to establish a healthy lifestyle among young people."
