Marriott Delays the Opening of Tribute Collection and Luxury Collection Hotels in Georgia
The opening of Tribute Collection brand hotel in Ganmukhuri and 5-star Marriott Brand Luxury Collection complex on Mtsvane Kontskhi is delayed indefinitely.
According to the Tourism Development Fund of Georgia, the construction and opening dates of the projects have changed due to the epidemical situation in the country.
"Challenges in the world market have significantly affected us, which is why we had to change the deadlines for opening projects. At this stage, work is underway to refine the project concept, the project completion dates will depend on the pace of restoration of international tourism."
The total amount of investment of the 5-star Luxury Collection complex on Mtsvane Kontskhi is $70 million. According to the fund, the concept of the site will reflect the idea of the Batumi Botanical Garden, founded in 1892.
Luxury collection will include 120 rooms, a spa, swimming pool, fitness center, restaurant, lounge bar, tennis, football and basketball courts, a children's recreation area and additional spaces for business meetings and conferences.
As for the Tribute Collection hotel, the project envisages arranging 160 rooms, and the site will include swimming pool, spa, tennis and basketball courts, a restaurant, a lounge bar and additional spaces for business meetings and conferences.
The total cost of the project is $ 45 million.
