Kula Replaced Ukraine with the Markets of the USA and Germany
Vano Goglidze, the founder of "Kula" canning production, summarizes 2022 with "Business Partner" and states that the current year was difficult, however, the company's management tried their best and brought the company to an increasing rate of sales.
According to the businessman, in terms of sales, the company has a 35-40% increase compared to last year.
"This year we had quite a few challenges, the price of gas and electricity increased, and the price of fruit was not what it was in previous years. We had to purchase raw materials at increased prices, however, we found resources and during the whole year we increased the price of products only once, insignificantly," Goglidze said.
When asked if the Russia-Ukraine war was one of the challenges and what kind of impact this event had on "Kula", Goglidze explains that despite the fact that "Kula" can no longer sell its products in Ukraine, the company has to balance this by increasing the quantities on the US and German markets.
As Goglidze states, due to the high demand for "Kula" products, the company could not start the production of Tglapi in 2022 and postponed it until 2023.
"Kula" procures 95% of its raw materials from local farmers and peasants.
The company exists since 2009 and is distinguished by its ecologically clean products. Currently, "Kula" has 5 enterprises, of which 4 are located in Gori and 1 in Akhaltsikhe. The company exports its products to 25 countries.
