Kalakuri Opens a Dried Fruit Processing Factory in Tserovani

Nut manufacturing company Kalakuri started producing Churchkhela, dried fruits, and jams.

According to the marketing manager of the company, Ana Shengelia, the company opened a new plant in Tserovani, where Georgian dried fruits are processed, packaged, and sold.

"We added new lines this year and opened a new enterprise in Tserovani. We use Georgian dried fruits in production, 80% of our raw materials are Georgian, and only 20% are imported since that proportion of some products is not cultivated in Georgia. 

Kalakuri has been operating on the market for more than 15 years. The company has its own nut plantations in Kakheti, however,  it buys raw materials from locals. 

Kalakuri employs up to 80 people.
