Kakha Kaladze: We will Launch Business Support Program in Tbilisi in 2022
The business support program will be launched in Tbilisi in 2022. As Kakha Kaladze stated, the program includes various components.
"We will exempt the tenants of the municipality and municipal enterprises from the rent tax for 2021-2022. Also, given that their economic activity has decreased as a result of the pandemic, we are proposing to adjust the lease terms, which means that we will directly extend the lease terms by two years. We will also offer a two-year restoration of this lease right to those persons who have expired the lease agreement with the municipality or municipal enterprises in the period from January 1, 2020 to January 1, 2022, ”said Kakha Kaladze.
Under the project, tourist facilities will be exempt from the cleaning fee.
"During the same period, the lease agreement tax penalties will be written off. Tourist facilities - restaurants, hotels and others - will be exempted from the one-time cleaning fee. As a result of the pandemic, the economic sector, especially small and medium-sized businesses, was significantly affected. Lots of families and people are behind them. Therefore, it is important to continue their support measures. The business support program in the form of a project has already been sent to the Tbilisi City Council and I hope for the support of the majority of the City Council. I think this will be a kind of support for small and medium businesses, "- said Kakha Kaladze.
