Guria Fish Farming Plans to Build FIsh Processing Plant in Grigoleti
The company "Guria Fish Farming" plans to build a fish processing plant in Grigoleti.
According to its founder, Giorgi Chkhaidze, the project is a long-term plan for the company.
They plan to make salmon fillet, as well as smoked fish, which will be sold only in the local market, under the brand of "Guria Fish".
"We will have an enterprise in the municipality of Lanchkhuti, 5-6 kilometers away from our farm."
As for the throughput, the company plans to produce 10,000 tons of oysters a year over a 5-year period. For the initial stage, Guria Fish Farming will be able to manufacture 700 tons of oysters this year, and next year the annual production will be 2,500 tons. The project envisages the production of fish in water reservoirs using modern technologies. Reservoirs are supplied with Black Sea water through a special pipe.
