Government Plans to Build IT Hub on the Base of the Kutaisi Parliament Building

It is planned to create an IT hub at the base of the Parliament building in Kutaisi. The Prime Minister announced this at the government meeting. According to Irakli Gharibashvili, Kutaisi International University may become a project partner.

"As you know, the parliament building in Kutaisi is practically non-functional. Our goal is to support the development of the IT sector there as much as possible. We are working with a Jewish company that expresses its desire to create a new IT hub on the base of the Kutaisi parliament building, and not only that, a technological hub that will attract and employ young people working in the IT field, will support the development of our Georgian students, and several tens of millions of dollars will be invested here. I would also like to mention the Kutaisi International University, which can be a very serious partner in this project," said the Prime Minister.
