Government Allocates GEL 30 million to Subsidize Loan Interest to around 1,500 Restaurants

The Government of Georgia has approved an assistance package of GEL 30 million to subsidize loan interests of around 1,500 restaurants for six months, Georgian Economy Minister Natia Turnava noted at the December meeting of the Interdepartmental Coordination Board.

“The restaurant sector has to serve loans of GEL 400 million and we have decided to support our restaurant business to serve these liabilities. We have allocated a budget of GEL 30 million for 6 months. All of us should know how the Government assists the restaurant industry. Around 1,500 restaurants will be able to use this assistance package”, Natia Turnava said.
