Google Pay Payment Service Launched in Georgia

The Google Pay payment service has been launched in Georgia, which means that by downloading the Google Wallet application, Georgian Android users will be able to make contactless payments with a phone, tablet, or Android watch.

In addition to bank cards, other types of cards can be added to Google Wallet: various types of tickets, vaccination certificates, and gift cards, making it a substitute for a real wallet for many users.

To use the cards in the application, authentication can be done with biometric data (Face ID, fingerprint) or a pin code.

Until now, Apple Pay was available in Georgia, which can only be used by users of Apple products.
