Glovo is Expanding and Adding E-Commerce Direction

The pandemic led to the growth of Glovo's business, although the demand for its services did not decrease even after the transition to the active phase of the pandemic and the lifting of regulations.

The company is expanding and plans to develop not only in the direction of delivery service but also in the direction of e-commerce. The company has already taken steps in this direction. As the manager of the company's business-innovation department, Luka Khvadagiani told "business partner", soon a new service category will appear in the "Glovo" App.

"The pandemic has accelerated our business, however, since the difficult period of the pandemic ended, we have not noticed a decrease in demand. When the user gets used to something, changes in environmental conditions no longer have much impact. Therefore, many customers remained loyal. During the pandemic, we saw new opportunities. Among them is the "Food Corner" - a closed kitchen, within the scope of which we offer a ready-made kitchen to the party companies in the building, where they can open their own business.

We adapt this building to the partner's requirements. They bring the machine, bring the cook and start working. We are ready to cooperate with companies that submit business plans to us. The project paid off and the companies participating in it are successfully continuing their activities in this format even today," said Luka Khvadagiani.

According to him, at this stage "Glovo" is no longer just a delivery service and is actively developing in the direction of e-commerce. For example, they serve Instagram-shopping, medical profile service "Doctor", "Redmed" and others.

The company also started cooperation with the tourism business - through it, it became possible to book packages and tours of travel agencies. In the near future, users will see new services on "Glovo". including "sober driver" calls, discount vouchers, etc.

According to Khvadagiani, "Glovo" is also expanding its coverage area, the last expansion affected the area around Lilo. The company operates in 10 cities, which, according to Luka Khvadagiani, none of its competitors has.

"Glovo" currently operates in 23 countries of the world, including Spain, France, Italy, Romania, Ukraine and others.
