Glenberry Plans to Arrange Greenhouse on 300 Hectares of Territory
Frozen fruit and vegetable processing and storage enterprise Glenberry plans to arrange a greenhouse on 300 hectares of territory. The total price of the investment will be 200 million GEL.
According to Rafael Maghalashvili, the head of the company, there are some problems regarding purchasing good-quality and natural products, because of which the company has to import the part of the production from neighboring countries.
"Green, yellow, and orange Bulgarian peppers are produced in small amounts and I have to start cultivating them next year. Broccoli and cauliflower will also be grown in the greenhouse.", declares Maghalashvili.
Currently, the greenhouses of broccoli and cauliflower are set up on 5 hectares of the territory, while the greenhouse of strawberry is arranged on 11 hectares. The company works on implementing an additional greenhouse on 7 hectares.
As the head of the company noted, he has orders from the U.S and Israel.
Glenberry entered the market in 2018. Initially, the company invested 9 million GEL in the business. The company is located in Shida Kartli, Kareli, and its factory employs 250 people.
