As Guja Elgujauri, the founder of "Georgian Tea" told bm.ge, the reason for the sale of the business is a change in profile, in particular, the new direction of the company will be to build a factory, run the company and then sell it.

According to him, the value of ''Georgian Tea'' is $5 million. The buyer will be required to maintain 19 employees for at least a year and a half.

''Georgian Tea'' owns 42 hectares in Guria, although it leases 15 hectares from the state. In addition, the company also produces dried fruit.

"Our factory is the biggest in Georgia. It was built in 2015 and is equipped with modern equipment. Production with a factory, 27 hectares of tea plantation, from which we get 10 tons of the highest quality, 40 tons of the first quality tea, sold with two exclusive products of the company. In addition, we have a dried fruit factory on site, it is financed by a USAID grant, and we will be able to sell it in 1 year. In total, the plantations cover 42 hectares, although 15 hectares are on the balance of the state, for this stage we have filed a letter for the purchase.

The production is for sale for $5 million. We have a promise that the buyer will keep the employees for at least a year and a half. As for feedback, I have not finished the sales package yet, although the buyers are from Ukraine, Arabia, Russia", explains the founder of "Georgian Tea".

It should be noted that the company's tea was exported to France several times. According to the founder, negotiations are also underway with Uzbekistan. "Georgian tea" is sold in "Agrohub" in the local market. In 2012, $1.5 was invested in production.
