Georgian Products Renaissance Starts Exporting American Pecan
Hazelnut processing company Georgian Products Renaissance has started exporting the American pecan.
According to the founder of the company, Baia Salukvadze, the company sent a test batch to Poland last year, and this year Georgian-made pecans (10 tons) entered the Russian market.
A new processing line was added to the enterprise located in Khobi, which allowed the company to manufacture American pecans.
"We receive raw materials from the farmers. The price of a 1kg pecan is 5-7 GEL."
Georgian Products Renaissance, located in Khobi, Samegrelo, was founded in October 2013. The total amount of investment was 0.5 million GEL.
