''Georgia will have Unprecedented Number of New Entrepreneurs within Micro-Grant Program''

An unprecedentedly high number of 1,338 new projects became winners within the grant program of the "Produce in Georgia" agency for micro and small entrepreneurship this year.

"I am glad that this year, with the help of the state and the support of the World Bank, an unprecedentedly growing number of more than a thousand new businesses will be added to the country, which will contribute to the revival of our country's economy.

It should be noted that the effectiveness of state programs increases year by year, and we support more business ideas and help them realize ideas, diversify products and export them. In addition, I should mention that among the winners of the micro and small entrepreneurship grant program, the number of women entrepreneurs has increased significantly this year, and 50 percent of the winners are women. I congratulate this year's winners of the program and wish them success and fruitful work", said the head of the agency, Mikheil Khidureli.

This year, more than 300 economic activities will be financed within the framework of the program.

From 2015 to 2021, 6,901 projects were financed within the framework of the grant program for micro and small entrepreneurship, and the amount of investments amounted to more than 78 million GEL.
