Georgia Starts Free Trade Negotiations with the United Arab Emirates

Within the framework of Expo 2020 Dubai, Georgia formed an agreement on implementing free trade agreement with the United Arab Emirates.

As the Minister of Economy, Natia Turnava mentioned, she finds the document utterly important. 

"I paid an official visit to Dubai three months ago. Georgia and Dubai reached an agreement to start free trade negotiations very quickly. In just three months, we have managed to sign an agreement to start negotiations." 

She further added, that despite the pandemic, trade turnover between Georgia and the United Arab Emirates is gradually growing. Now, interest is much higher and the free trade agreement will cause an increase in Georgian exports.
