Geofresh Plans to Export Asparagus to Dubai

The company Geofresh, which produces three varieties of asparagus in Sagarejo, will export its production to Dubai this year.

According to the director of Geofresh, Salome Kveliashvili, the negotiations were underway with Dubai last year too, however, due to the fact that the season is short for asparagus, they did not have time to enter Dubai's market. This year, they are ready to export.

The company sells its products in the local market with the price range of 15-20 GEL, and export prices are $6-7, however, the prices are changeable.

The company Geofresh started the production of asparagus in 2016 with an investment of approximately 1 million GEL. The company sells the product in local and foreign markets.

Apart from asparagus, Geofresh also produces blueberries, and during the season, the company employs 50 people.
