Ferry Service Between Poti and Constanta Starts in May - Pontos Maritime Implements the Project

Ferry traffic between Constanta and Poti is planned for May next year. The construction of the necessary infrastructure for the berth, terminal and multimodal service in Constanta has already started. The project is implemented by Pontos Maritime.

According to the founder and director of the company, Paata Daiauri the route will allow carriers, importers and exporters to halve the time available for cargo transportation to the EU and Balkan countries, for example, it will be possible to move cargo to Central Europe in 6-7 days.

The DP World company is carrying out the infrastructure works, and from November, a working group will be created with the participation of Pontos Maritime and DP World, as well as the customs services of Romania and Georgia, for the purpose of electronic exchange of documents necessary for the cargo, which will significantly speed up the process of transport by carriers in the European Union and Georgia.
