Demand for Bicycles Triples

Demand for bicycles in the world market, including Georgia, has increased 3 times on average in 2020.

According to Georgian Bicycle Group, the pandemic caused the high demand for ecologically clean transport all over the world. 

Despite the high demand, the companies were unable to deliver products to customers on time. The reason was the problems in the chain of production and supply. Delays were particularly a problem for companies who were ordering bicycles from Asian countries. Here, receiving the orders is increased from two weeks to 365 days. The price of the raw material has also increased, which is a precondition for the bikes to become expensive.

According to the founder of Georgian Bicycle Group, the world realized that bicycles are leading, healthiest, and environmentally friendly transport.

"This is the reason why the orders of all leading brands have already been booked by 2022 and it is already very difficult to receive the new ones.", declared Beka Kiknavelidze.
