The company RMG publishes a statement.

"Today, August 23, we would like to respond to the so-called information about the activities of our company spread by the representatives of the "National Movement" party through the media.

First of all, it should be noted that the tender area mentioned by them was included in the license area of RMG since 2011. The mentioned territory was regained by the state in 2020 and is no longer part of the strategic interest of RMG. Therefore, the information spread by the "National Movement" is a lie.

In addition, in the mentioned media address, the company's connections with Mr. Bidzina Ivanishvili and Ucha Mamatsashvili were mentioned several times. We declare with full responsibility that the company has no connection with the mentioned persons and this information is not true. Therefore, information spread is also a lie.

Regarding the topic of connections with "Russian Gold", we declare that similar accusations are unacceptable to us because RMG has been operating in full compliance with Georgian and international legislation for years. The company is fully transparent, including the part of the final beneficiaries.

At the same time, we would like to point out that we disassociate ourselves from any kind of political processes and call on the Georgian political spectrum not to use business for their own interests and to gain political points.

We will remind the public, on behalf of our entire team - 3700 employees, that RMG is doing the most difficult Georgian mining work. For years, we have been the largest employer in the region, we are the export leader of Georgia, and at the same time, we operate with high international environmental and labor safety standards," the statement said.
