Colchis Pheasant Farm to Open in Khobi

In the village of Nojikhevi, 40-hectare Colchis Pheasant farm was opened.

"We will set several thousands of Colchis Pheasants free on the protected areas every year. The local species are factually endangered and are in the Red List. Procreation, which will take place in a new farm, will promote to maintain genetic fund, as well as create new perspectives on hunting with regulations.", noted Levan Davitashvili.

Aleksandre Motserelia stated, that they must procreate the threatened species which were located on the lowland of Colchis.

"It is utterly important to start this process, then we will be able to return to the equilibrium, which was unfortunately abolished in the 90's."
