Chikori Plans to Cultivate Orchards

The company Kareli Fruits, which is presented on the market with the brand Chikori, plans to cultivate its own orchards.

According to the director of the company, Anano Bejanishvili, the company currently delivers fruit from local farmers, and 10% of the production is its received harvest.

This year, the company plans to process 500 tons of fruit. In the future, Chikori may double its current index.

As Anano Bejanishvili mentioned, the company will add the line of hazelnuts from 2021. The assortment of dried fruit will also be grown.

At this moment, 15 types of dried fruits are sold on the market.

Kareli Fruits opened in the region of Kareli in 2016.

Today, 40% of the company's production is on export. Their target markets are Japan, Czech Republic, Lithuania, and Germany. The negotiations are underway with U.S and Israel.
