Chainlink Now Listed on Cryptal

The newest token available on Cryptal Exchange is Chainlink (LINK). As of today, you can now buy, sell, and trade LINK for USD or BTC.

Chainlink was founded and developed by Sergey Nazarov and Steve Ellis. Its ICO was held in September 2017, raising $32 million. There is a total supply of 1 billion LINK tokens, of which over 414.5 million are in circulation. The current market capitalization is over $11 billion.

Chainlink connects Ethereum smart contracts with real-world data through a decentralized network, using LINK tokens to pay node operators.

Cryptal CEO Khvicha Kopinadze spoke enthusiastically about adding the first new asset since publicly launching in August 2020. “Chainlink is a true contributor to the world of blockchain and smart contracts. As smart contract adoption increases so does the demand for a true data security layer, thereby increasing Chainlink’s usage. This will naturally drive LINK as the standard utility token for Chainlink, leading to increased adoption and higher demand. Giorgi Kervalishvili, Cryptal CTO, also noted the benefits of LINK to the cryptocurrency world. “LINK makes Etherium smart contracts even more interesting and offers more opportunities. The Chainlink project aims to integrate external services into smart contracts, making smart contracts even more diverse and flexible.”
