Bread & Wine – Tourist’s Favourite Place
The cuisine of Georgia has its own distinct identity, while also bearing similarities to the cuisines of other Caucasian and Eastern European countries. Dishes hailing from throughout Georgia are each cooked in a manner that is distinctive to that region. The customs of eating and drinking together at shared tables are essential parts of Georgian culture.
Come to the restaurant to sample authentic Georgian cuisine, including:
- Chakapuli - lamb chops or veal are used in the preparation of this dish, along with onions, tarragon leaves, cherry plums or Tkemali (a sauce produced from cherry plums), dry white wine, a mixture of fresh herbs (parsley, mint, dill, and coriander), garlic, and salt.
- Khinkali - Khinkali fillings are regionally specific. The original Khevsuruli recipe asked for nothing more than ground lamb, beef, or pork, onions, chili pepper, salt, and cumin. Kalakuri, the current recipe most popular in Georgia, especially in the country's urban areas, calls for herbs like parsley and cilantro. Meat can be substituted with mushrooms, potatoes, or cheese.
- Mtsvadi (Skewered pork) - a dish consisting of cubes of meat that have been skewered and grilled. Identical to or interchangeable with the term "shish kebab".
- Chikhirtma - The soup's thick consistency comes from a combination of beaten eggs (or just the egg yolks) and lemon curd added to a rich chicken broth base.
- Satsivi - A cold meal with walnut sauce served with boiled or fried chicken for dipping. Satsivi is typically prepared with walnuts, water, garlic, a mix of dry herbs, vinegar, cayenne pepper, and salt.
Georgian wine and Georgian cuisine are the best way to fully immerse yourself in Georgian culture. Wines come in many styles (Red, White, and homemade). We hope to make your parties and special occasions even tastier with the help of our digital partner Adshub.GE (https://adshub.ge/).
