Agrosphere’s Scholarship Recipients Gain Invaluable On-Site Experience
Agrosphere, a distinguished importer of cutting-edge agricultural products and technologies, recently hosted an enlightening visit for its scholarship recipients. This was a unique opportunity for the students to gain first-hand insight into the operation and working dynamics of the company.
Led by Agrosphere's proficient sales specialists, the scholars embarked on an extensive tour of the company's headquarters. They were privy to an in-depth presentation showcasing the wide array of products imported by Agrosphere. The product exploration, featuring various categories, highlighted the state-of-the-art features and benefits of each item. The scholars were particularly enthralled by the unveiling of the latest agro-drone, DJI Agras T40, and the innovative grain harvester, CLAAS DOMINATOR 260.
The visit also encompassed an immersion into Agrosphere's mechanization service. Here, the students witnessed the intricacies of the team's operations and work processes. For scholarship recipient Lasha Lomsadze, studying mechanical engineering, the visit was especially intriguing. "The visit underscored the stringent quality control at Agrosphere and the competence of its personnel. I am excited about the prospect of joining this team and undertaking my internship here," he shared.
Agrosphere's support for its scholarship holders extends beyond these site visits. Seven other select students are offered opportunities to gain practical experience through internships in the company's service centers, partner farms, demonstration vineyards, and greenhouses. They also receive access to the rich resources of "Agrarium" trainings and various other Agrosphere initiatives.
The head of the "Agrarium" training center at Agrosphere, Mariam Merabishvili, explained the significance of the company’s approach to student advancement. "We believe in empowering students to chart their own professional development journey, in line with their interests. Our role is to facilitate their growth and support their progress. Our hope is that Agrosphere's scholarship and internship programs will inspire more youth to explore agriculture, and provide a pathway for those deeply passionate about this sector," she stated.
Initiated in 2022, Agrosphere's youth support programs are carried out in association with the Agrarian University. Each year, the company awards scholarships to three students from the university and offers ten students an enriching internship program. The objective of these initiatives is to incentivize youth involvement in agriculture, amplify the appeal of the sector, and ultimately, create a pipeline of qualified talent for the agricultural industry.
