ADB Invested 8.3 Million GEL in Construction of Kutaisi Swimming Pool

The construction of a new swimming pool in Kutaisi with the funding of the Asian Development Bank will be completed in October this year.

The Olympic standard pool project is implemented by the Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia.

The cost of the project is 8 384 800 GEL. Construction of the swimming pool began in the spring of 2021, and completion is scheduled for October 21 this year.

The project envisages the construction of a swimming pool in Kutaisi in accordance with international standards, which will be 50 meters long and 25 meters wide. A small pool will also be arranged. A large swimming pool for 600 spectators will be located near the large swimming pool. The pool complex will have dressing rooms and showers for both pool users and referees and coaches. It is also planned to arrange spaces for the rehabilitation of athletes and rehabilitation of injuries. Parking will be built near the swimming pool for 150-200 cars and 6 buses.
