Tbilisi Opera to Host Giuseppe Verdi’s Don Carlo after 15-Year Break

After 15-year break Tbilisi Opera and Ballet State Theatre stage will once again host a great Italian composer, Giuseppe Verdi`s four-act opera „Don Carlo“.

Based on Friedrich Schiller’s dramatic play – „DON CARLOS, INFANT VON SPANIEN“, opera premiered on the stage of Salle Le Peletie, Paris in March 11, 1867; while, Georgian theatre-goers were introduced to „Don Carlo“ 150 year ago at the Karvasla Theatre, in January 24, 1869 — two years after its international debut.
