Government Plans to Double the Number of Quarantine Spaces
The government plans to double the number of quarantine spaces and urges hotels to stand by.
The Minister of Economy of Georgia states that the country has already moved to a more intensive quarantine regime, which implies the entry of all citizens into the quarantine zone. That is - if until now the citizens who came from high-risk countries were quarantined, now all citizens who enter Georgia will be quarantined.
As of today, up to 3,000 people are staying in different hotels at one time, but the need for quarantine spaces will increase from tomorrow.
It should be noted that the government has signed contracts with about 40 hotels and uses them as quarantine zones.
