Ukraine Enjoys a 46.62% Turnout in Local Elections

In Ukraine, the turnout in the local elections was 46.62%, the Central Election Commission announced the country, it is reported by UNIAN.

The highest turnout was recorded in the Ternopil (56.50%) and Lviv regions (56.31%). The threshold of 50% also overcame Volyn, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Khmelnytsky, Rivne, Vinnytsia region.

The turnout and the Donetsk region was 21.65%, in the Luhansk – 35.27%, the lowest levels in the regions. Local elections were held everywhere, except for some “temporarily occupied regions of Donetsk and Lugansk regions,” says UNIAN.

Also, the vote did not take place in Mariupol and Krasnoarmeysk in the Donetsk region. Chief of Staff of the Kiev State Administration Volodymyr Bondarenko said that in the capital, the turnout was within 42-44%, Vedomosti reports.
