Serbia Intends to Join TANAP

“Serbia should no longer rely on only one source of supply”.

Serbia may get access to gas supplies from Azerbaijan through the Trans-Anatolian Gas Pipeline (TANAP). According to Natural Gas Europe, the Minister of Energy and Mining of Serbia Alexander Antic said that the Serbian authorities intend to participate in all the projects, which will provide the country from new sources and routes of gas supplies.

“Main priority is the bilateral pipeline between Serbia and Bulgaria. We have already conducted negotiations with our Bulgarian counterpart about transportation capacity of the pipeline. Serbia can look for financial sources that will provide financing of project in the near future,” Antic said. The Minister noted that Serbia “should no longer be fascinated by any energy project, or to rely on only one source of supply.”
