Obama’s former press secretary Robert Gibbs will start working at McDonald’s PR department as the Executive Vice-President and the Global Manager.
CNN notes that Mr. Gibbs joins the McDonald’s team after the company’s global sales have plummeted drastically. McDonald’s also struggles to stay afloat in its competition with such fast food chains in America, as Shake Shack and Habit Restaurants.
Gibbs served as the press secretary of the White House in the 2008-2011 period; He also was the leading campaign consultant during Obama’s second presidency run. After that, Gibbs switched to working at his very own PR firm Incite Agency, founded in 2003.
Many expected Gibbs start working at Facebook after he left his job at the White House press office.
